What is Binance?

Sign up to Binance exchange

Once you have followed the easy steps to sign up to Binance. You will need to transfer your Bitcoin (or part of a Bitcoin) to your Binance account to trade the alternative coins (Alt-coins). Simply click on FUNDS at the top right....then DEPOSIT. You will be asked which coin you wish to deposit to. Click on BTC (Bitcoin). What you see on the next page is your personal Bitcoin wallet address from Binance linked to your Binance account. Copy this address. Go back to Coinbase and click on the "Send" page. On the Coinbase send page you paste the Bitcoin address you have just copied (this relates to your personal Binance Bitcoin wallet account) into the Send box. Press Send. The funds will then be sent directly to your personal Binance exchange account wallet to trade different coins. Please re-read these instructions until you understand how to send funds. It is extremely straightforward and fully secure.


Stage 1:
Now you have a Binance account and your Bitcoin has been transferred to your Binance Bitcoin wallet you are ready to trade in alternative coins. You have the choice of Basic or Advanced trading - We will click on "Basic".

Stage 2: In basic mode you will see on the right hand side which coins are available to trade in.  Click on BTC (Bitcoin) This means the markets you will be trading in are Bitcoin related (as your funds are in Bitcoin). Simple.

Every coin has an abbreviation. You've already learned Bitcoin's abbreviation is "BTC". Select which coin you wish to trade in. Examples of abbreviations are:

Eth - Ethereum
KMD - Komodo
LSK - Lisk
LTC -  Litecoin
ADA - Cardano
NEO - NEO

You will see which market you are trading on if you check the left hand side of the page. If you are trading on the Tron market you will see "TRX/BTC" This means you are trading in Tron & Bitcoin exchange market.

Stage 3: The most straighforward way to purchase coins is to click on "Market" - this is an instant buy order. Click on the amount of coins you wish to buy.  If you select 100%, it means you will spend all the Bitcoins you have when you buy. You can state exactly how many coins you want to purchase. Click the Buy button.

If you want to check your account balance go to the Deposit/Withdraw page. This will list all the coins you have purchased and your currect balance. Your portfolio of coins are all connected to your Binance wallet account.

When you are ready to sell your coins, you can go back to the trade page. Click on "market" again. Enter the amount of coins you wish to sell and press the "Sell" button. You will be greeted with a "success" popup and you have now sold your coins back into Bitcoin wallet.
